Sylvia BrittonSylvia Britton and her husband Mark live in Tennessee and have been married since 1980. They are the parents of 5 children and have homeschooled since 1990. Sylvia began working in online ministry in 1997 with Christian Homekeeper and the Christian Homekeeper message board.

It was at Vacation Bible School in 1969 that she met the Lord Jesus and was saved to a life in Him. She has had many opportunities for service since that time, but cherishes her role as wife, mother and grandmother most deeply. Presently, the Lord is also using Sylvia as music director in her local church.

She enjoys reading, mentoring women, writing articles for several magazines, gardening, Bible study and creating a peaceful holy home. God has given Sylvia the gifts of wisdom and administration and she has found a wonderful outlet for those gifts at Titus 2 Christian Homekeeper™. You can read about daily life at Sylvia’s home at her blog, The Christian Homekeeper

Mrs Traci KnoppeTraci Knoppe lives in Missouri with her husband Mark, six children, two sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law and one granddaughter. Since accepting Christ in 1988, her life has changed for the better! Once depressed, overcome with fear, anger, hurt and resentment, she now lives a life of joy in Jesus. Aside from her love of writing and mentoring, Traci serves within her church and co-leads Titus 2 Christian HomeKeeper. In her spare time, she enjoys sewing, machine embroidery, soapmaking, reading and spending time with her two Shih Tzus and one Cavalier King Charles Spaniel; and of course, eating bon-bons on the couch! Well, life may be a bit busy for those bon-bons. ;) God has given her the gift of encouragement, diplomacy and a sense of humor. All of which have proven very helpful in her mentoring, and for life in general. You can read about her daily happenings and life at her blog: Traci’s Christian Cottage.

Karen TwomblyKaren Twombly Born in Maine, Karen Twombly was raised in a Christian family. At the age of 11 she asked the Lord Jesus to be her personal Savior and Lord of her life. Sensing the call of God to teach the Bible, she enrolled at New England Baptist Bible College at the age of 22 and graduated with her Bachelors of Religious Education Degree. During her time in Bible College she met and married her best friend Robin Twombly who was also a student.

Karen has been teaching the Bible for 21 years. She has taught every age group from toddler to the elderly in Sunday School classes, Ladies Bible Studies, Discipleship ministries, and Education Conferences. Karen and her husband Robin currently have 3 children. Karen spends her time homeschooling her children and serving in her local church. She is involved in discipleship ministry, teaching in childrens’ ministry and serving on the worship team. Karen’s passion is fulfilling the mandate of Eph. 4:12-15 “to equip the saints for works of service so that they may be mature in Christ and not deceived by false doctrine.”
Gatherings

Robin DePewMy name is Robin DePew. I’m married to an Army soldier and the mother of two. We have a teenage daughter and a grown son. Our son is in the Army as well and has a family of his own. He and his lovely wife have blessed our family with two precious grandsons.

We feel very fortunate to have been a homeschooling family for about 6 years. It’s been hard work, but worth every minute of it.

My husband and I are originally from the southeastern United States and hope to make our home there again upon his retirement from active duty. We have lived many places over the years, due to his job, but still haven’t found any place that we prefer to “home”.

I have been a Christian since I was 9-10 years old. I can still remember feeling the Holy Spirit speak to me as I sat in church. I was so shy about coming forward, but finally couldn’t hold back any longer! I didn’t come from a family that went to church regularly and I was amazed to find out there was so much to learn! So much room for personal growth!

I truly enjoy this ministry because it provides such enrichment for me in my Christian walk as a homekeeper, wife and mother. Over the years this ministry has been a wonderful learning tool, as well as providing a wonderful group of ladies who have unselfishly offered prayer support, fellowship and accountability for me.

I continue to feel privileged to be a part of this wonderful ministry. I’m looking forward to following God’s direction for us.

Wardeh.jpgWardeh (”Wardee”) Harmon has been married to her husband, Jeff for about ten years. They have three children — Haniya, Naomi and Mikah. They home educate their children and spend as much time as they can outside in God’s beautiful creation. They live on five and a half gorgeous acres in the Pacific Northwest state of Oregon.

Wardeh loves to create, whether it be a garment, a meal, a gift, a pillow or a greeting card. On a typical day, you will find her doing one or more of the following activities: creating and preparing wholesome, nutritious meals; gardening; sewing garments or home decor; quilting; painting; drawing or doodling; reading books about nutrition or crafts; reading great books to her children; making something from scratch; making soap; knitting; crocheting; writing up a craft pattern; or teaching her children a new craft.

Wardeh loves to share what she’s learning and creating with other women. She hopes that her contributions to the T2CHK ministry will bless your heart and home. Wardeh’s personal blog is called Such Treasures.

Glenys HicksGlenys Robyn HicksGlenys Robyn Hicks, is an Australian Christian married to Christopher. Together they have 6 adult children and 12 grandchildren so far. Glenys has been a Christian for 27 years and loves writing both articles and verse, especially to encourage women in their high calling as wives, mothers and homemakers. Glenys believes in living life in a balanced way and her articles are written with that in mind. She does not portray herself as the perfect wife and mother or the strongest of Christians nor does she paint life in an idealistic and therefore unachievable manner.

Glenys has a particular empathy for women who suffer from chronic illness as she does, but who still seek to joyfully serve God in spite of their illness. She believes that serving God joyfully whilst suffering the pain of a chronic illness requires much prayer and clinging to the LORD for both physical strength and spiritual strength-for depression is a common problem for those constantly deprived of sleep and living every waking hour in pain. She believes it is essential to cultivate your spirit and maintain a closeness with Christ through the Word and prayer in order to succeed in living a victorious life. Without Him, you will be able to do nothing. Literally.

And so, comes Joyfully Serving God Still, from one who can empathise with the chronically ill and who seeks to encourage the woman of God who still longs to joyfully serve Him. Not all of Glenys’ posts will be of fibromyalgia, but they will be things God lays on her heart to write in the form of a poem or article. Her prayer is that not only will the LORD be glorified, but that His hurting Daughters will be refreshed and encouraged.
